​​ Olano Makhubela has been with the Authority since his secondment in 2017 as the Deputy Executive Officer responsible for Retirement Funds, overseeing the supervision of retirement funds and the implementation of retirement reforms. He has also served as Acting Commissioner of the FSCA. Prior to joining the Authority he worked at the National Treasury for 16 years, where his responsibilities included being the Chief Director for financial investments and savings, overseeing retirement reforms, savings and anti-money laundering policies. ​​ ​​
